When you want to do a task that you can do in OneNote 2013 but not in OneNote Web App, open your notebook in OneNote 2013. OneNote Web App even offers a button that you can click to open a notebook in OneNote.
You can also open a notebook in OneNote by using these techniques:
Click File and choose Open In OneNote.
On the View tab, click Reading View. Then, click the Edit Notebook button and on the drop-down menu that appears, click Edit In Microsoft OneNote.
If you installed OneNote App for Windows 8 from the Windows Store, clicking Open In OneNote might cause the notebook to open there. To change this, in Windows 8, Open the Control Panel, click Programs, click Default Programs, and then click Set Default Programs. Set OneNote (desktop) to the default for the protocol ONENOTE.
