Creating and assessing product knowledge sheets

Different staff within organizations use product information (or product knowledge) sheets in different ways. The sales team use product knowledge sheets to help provide the key information to a potential lead while support staff use knowledge sheets to help tackle and understand the challenges a user may have.

Once participants have gone through the various information brochures, product manager and subject matter expert's presentations, listened to the podcasts, and perhaps even used the product, asking them to create a product knowledge sheet and thus distilling the information that they have acquired is often a good test of their knowledge understanding and acquisition.

There are many ways that this could be done in Moodle, but in this example we will use the Database activity which allows you to create customized forms into which participants fill in information.

Once an entry has been reviewed by the trainer, the submissions can then be opened up to other users for peer review through comments.

This dual approach of both creation and assessing other's product sheets should give the participants a better rounded understanding of the purpose of the sheet and the information they hold.
