Creating community moderators

We've spent a bit of time in previous chapters discussing Forums in Moodle. Most "communities of practice" (CoPs) are going to be focused on forums as well as the activities you have just created. Forums are a really good general tool for communication and collaboration. Every online discussion however, requires a bit of care and feeding to maintain a good collaborative atmosphere and provide useful information to its participants. As a system administrator, you probably do not want to have the responsibility of moderating every community forum. Delegating moderation to community members is the easiest way to both promote self-regulation within the community and to alleviate your workload.
