Sometimes saying it with pictures is better than saying it with words, and for those occasions, OneNote offers the Draw tab. This tab presents tools for drawing free-form and preset lines and shapes.

After you make a drawing, you can move it and change its size. You can also erase parts of it. The Draw tab also has tools for rotating drawings and determining how drawings overlap when more than one occupies the same space on a page.

Drawing is easiest if you have a tablet PC or pen device, but you can also draw by dragging the mouse. When you draw, you can choose between lines of various widths, colors, and transparencies.
