In complex database applications that have many groups, it can often be difficult to determine what a user's actual access level is. In Domino 6, Lotus has made it much easier to determine what a user's actual access to a database is through the new Effective Access feature. A user's effective access is the actual access she has been granted to the database.
To determine a user's effective access to a database, follow these steps:
1. | Select a database and choose File, Database, Access Control; alternatively, right-click and choose Database, Access Control. |
2. | Click the Effective Access button, which opens the dialog shown in Figure 10.3. Figure 10.3. The effective access dialog box. |
3. | |
4. | Click the Done button to close the dialog box. |
