Creating, Modifying, Troubleshooting Libraries: Java, JavaScript, and LotusScript

Libraries are a place for maintaining and sharing programs within multiple design elements. Script libraries, LotusScript, and Java are not new to Domino, but JavaScript libraries are. All script libraries' scope is within the current database. They cannot be used outside the database in which they reside.

JavaScript libraries can be used in Page, Form, or Subform elements, and can be incorporated in-line or within the JSHeader.

To insert a JavaScript library, follow these steps:

1.
Open the design element where you wish to insert JavaScript.

2.
To insert a JavaScript library within the JSHeader, select the JSHeader event. To insert a JavaScript library in-line, click in the design element where you want to place the library.

3.
Choose Create menu, Resource, Insert Resource to open the Internet Resource dialog box.

4.
From the Insert Resource dialog box, select the JavaScript Library you want to insert.

5.
Click OK.
