Workflow-related sections offer another level of displaying or restricting access to information and/or functionality within the application.
Access-controlled sections restrict who can edit or sign parts (sections) within a document. Sections are particularly useful in workflow applications because sections can be hidden or displayed as the document changes stages in the workflow process.
In addition, a section's access can be determined by an access formula (using the formula language) so workflow rules can be built into the section, therefore, determining who can access a section. Sections can also be hidden based on a formula. For more information regarding sections and security, refer to “Restrict Section Access” in Chapter 10, “Security,” for Exam 611.
