Creating, Modifying, Troubleshooting Layers

Layers are new with Domino 6. This design element gives the flexibility of positioning, placement, and layering on forms, subforms, or pages; layers work on both clients. Using layers can be as simple as overlapping two layers or placing a field on top of a graphic, or as complex as stacking multiple layers of graphics, text, and fields. Layers give greater control over how content is displayed.

Creating a layer on an element inserts the layer box itself and a Layer Anchor link similar to the Style Sheet Anchor link. As with the style sheet, you use Paragraph Hide When to control the display of layers to different clients. Also, as with the style sheet, you use the Text properties to hide a Layer Anchor link; each Anchor link needs to be placed on a separate line.
