View Access lists enable you to restrict the use of views and folders to particular users, groups, servers and roles. To add a View Access list to a view, follow these steps:
1. | In the Designer client, open the database that contains the view. |
2. | Select and open the view you want to secure. |
3. | Choose Design, View Properties to open the View properties box. |
4. | Select the Security tab (the tab with the key on it). |
5. | Uncheck the All Readers and Above box in the May Be Used By area. |
6. | Select each user, group, and role that should be enabled to use the view. |
7. | Save and close the view. |
Be aware that this is not a true security feature because users may be able to use other views in the database to view documents. |
