View Access

View Access lists enable you to restrict the use of views and folders to particular users, groups, servers and roles. To add a View Access list to a view, follow these steps:

1.
In the Designer client, open the database that contains the view.

2.
Select and open the view you want to secure.

3.
Choose Design, View Properties to open the View properties box.

4.
Select the Security tab (the tab with the key on it).

5.
Uncheck the All Readers and Above box in the May Be Used By area.

6.
Select each user, group, and role that should be enabled to use the view.

7.
Save and close the view.

Be aware that this is not a true security feature because users may be able to use other views in the database to view documents.
