Working with Cookies in Your Applications
Cookies are a mechanism a Web site uses to store information on the client (user's hard drive) to be used in the future. This information could be a user's color preferences or information about where the user has been in your application. Domino creates cookies in some instances, and when Domino uses these functions, Web browsers must support cookies. Two examples of when Domino uses cookies is to
Track user sessions with session-based authentication.
Set users' personal preferences. The OpenPreferences URL command sets a cookie to store users' time zones and regional language preferences.
