Except by pressing keyboard shortcuts, you give commands in OneNote 2013 by using the ribbon and the Quick Access Toolbar. To make using OneNote easier, you can customize both.

You can place the commands you use most often and the commands you find most useful on the ribbon and Quick Access Toolbar. You can also remove commands, rearrange commands, and, in the case of the ribbon, create your own tabs and command groups on tabs. If you want, you can place the Quick Access Toolbar below the ribbon rather than above it.

If you discover after you customize the Quick Access Toolbar or ribbon that you want the original back, you can revert to it easily. OneNote offers Reset commands for restoring them both to their default settings.
