When a logical processor executes a serializing instruction, only the execution of that thread is affected. The following serializing instructions are exceptions to this rule:
WBINVD.
INVD.
WRMSR.
A move into CR0 wherein CR0[CD] is modified.
In those cases, both threads are serialized.
