Save a Color from My Color Panel to My Swatches Panel?

We’ve covered a LOT of color tips in this chapter, and here’s another quicky! If you’ve created a new color in the Color panel, the fastest way to save that color to your Swatches panel is to just drag-and-drop it. Click-and-hold directly on the preview swatch you created in the Color panel, and then drag it over to the Swatches panel. When your cursor reaches the Swatches panel, you’ll see it change to a tiny little hand with a plus (+) sign next to it. You can decide where in the list you want your new swatch to appear by hovering over that location; you’ll see a horizontal line appear where your swatch will land when you drop it like it’s hot. Just let go of the mouse button (I do apologize to all tablet users; you know what to do), and that new custom color will now be saved as a swatch in your Swatches panel. Told you it was simple!
