Change the Pasteboard Size?

The InDesign pasteboard has smaller margins at the top and bottom than on the sides, but you can change this if you want. Maybe you have a lot of assets you want to place on the pasteboard while you work. To change the pasteboard dimensions, go to InDesign (PC: Edit) > Preferences > Guides & Pasteboard. Under Pasteboard Options near the bottom of the dialog, insert your desired Horizontal and Vertical Margins. You’ll see the margins change when you click OK. This is all down to personal preference, but it’s useful to know that you have some extra pasteboard space to use if you want it.
