Hide the Desktop Screen Behind My Document?

image

If you’re using a Mac, when you first open an Adobe app, you can sometimes see your desktop in the back of the application. If you prefer to only see the actual application canvas, go to Window > Application Frame and make sure that option is checked. (Note: You won’t see this option under the Window menu on a PC because Application Frame is the default.) I find it quite distracting to see my desktop screen behind the documents I’m working on, so I prefer to work with the Application Frame turned on. This will also reflect the theme color you have chosen as your workspace background. Once the frame is chosen, you can then resize the entire InDesign workspace by clicking-and-dragging the frame from any corner or frame edge.
