Export to Image Formats (Like JPG or PNG)?

Occasionally you may need to export your document, or pages from the document, as something other than a PDF, such as an image file. You have multiple options available within the Export command. Go to File > Export, name your document, and from the Format (PC: Save as Type) menu, you can select JPEG or PNG to save your document as an image. If you select JPEG, you will be presented with an Export JPEG dialog, which allows you to choose which pages you wish to export; the quality and resolution of the files; the color space used; and whether to include bleed settings. This is a really useful way to create small-file-size versions of your document to email to others, or even to design something in InDesign specifically for export to an image format that can be posted on the web or social media.
