Create a PDF Preset?

image

There may be times when you have a bunch of settings you wish to apply to a PDF export, and then want to use them over and over again. Here’s how to create a preset so you can do that easily. With your document open, go to File > Adobe PDF Presets > Define. This opens up the Adobe PDF Presets dialog, where you’ll see a list of existing presets at the top. We’ll click New. In the New PDF Export Preset dialog, choose any settings you wish to include in your PDF preset, give it a name, and click OK. This saves your preset, and the next time you go to File > Adobe PDF Presets, you’ll see the one you created in the list of available presets (below Define). If you wish to edit an existing preset, simply open the Adobe PDF Presets dialog (File > Adobe PDF Presets > Define), select the preset you want to modify, and click Edit. Make your changes, and then click Save. To apply a preset, just go to File > Export as you normally would, choose Adobe PDF (Print) from the Format (PC: Save as Type) menu, and click Save. In the Export to PDF dialog, click on the Adobe PDF Preset pop-up menu at the very top, select your new preset, and click Export. It’s as simple as that!
