Create Grids with Grid Calculator Pro Edition (Requires License)?

Although the ability to create grids and guides is already available in InDesign, a grid system is more about layout. Grid Calculator is a plug-in I found from DesignersBookshop.com that helps you set out a grid system to assist with your design layout. It is an absolute gem of a find! I contacted the owner, Abraham Georges, to get more info about the plug-in and he is an expert when it comes to working with grid systems. He created this plug-in in 2009 to create layouts that can be very complex. Some of the best designers in the world, including Erik Spiekermann, have been involved in developing the software. I really do like this plug-in and I use it often to lay out complex pages. Clients who already use this tool include: Adidas, American Apparel, HBO, MetaDesign, Forever 21, Forsman & Bodenfors, and Wedge & Lever, to name a few. To download the plug-in, just visit the website: www.gridcalculator.com. (Note: There is also a version for Photoshop and Illustrator.) Sign up and subscribe monthly or yearly, and then follow the download instructions. Once the plug-in is installed, you’ll need to activate it with the supplied key, and it will then be available under InDesign (PC: Edit) > Designers Bookshop. When you select the plug-in from the menu, you’ll be guided through a couple of info dialogs before the setup dialog appears.
