Zoom In and Out of a Document?

image

To zoom in and out of a document quickly, press Command-+/− (PC: Ctrl-+/−). This is a default 25% increase or decrease zoom function. Pressing Command-0 (zero; PC: Ctrl-0) will reset the document to show centered full screen. You can also go to View > Zoom In or Zoom Out. Another option is to use the Zoom Level pop-up menu in the top left of the frame. Just click on the down-facing arrow to the right of the current zoom level and choose one of the preset magnifications. InDesign will let you view your documents at any zoom level from 5% up to 4000%. When a document is open, its current magnification percentage will be displayed in both the Zoom Level field in the top Application Bar and next to the document filename in the document’s tab (for example, MyDocument.indd @ 100%).

TIP: USE KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS TO CHANGE MAGNIFICATION

Here are some keyboard shortcuts to help you quickly change the magnification level of your document:

Command-2 (PC: Ctrl-2) for 200%

Command-4 (PC: Ctrl-4) for 400%

Command-5 (PC: Ctrl-5) for 50%
