Find Great Plug-ins for InDesign?

image

Plug-ins are additional software programs developed by Adobe as well as third-party software developers. They add additional features to InDesign and have to comply with Adobe standards. They can range from general automation processes to productivity tools, font management tools, or all sorts of special effects. Most of the features you use in InDesign are provided by plug-ins. Once you’ve installed a plug-in, it will usually appear as additional options in the menus, dialogs, or panels in your workspace. In this chapter, we will look at a couple of my favorites. There is additional information on plug-ins on the Adobe website, and a good place to find them is the Adobe Exchange website. Each plug-in can have its own method of installation, so check the instructions for each one you decide to install.
