Convert a Shape (or Frame) to a Different One?

Drawing shapes quickly is great. Maybe you’ve created a rectangle or polygon, but then you think, “hmm, this feels like it should be a circle.” No need to worry! You don’t have to delete it and start over; just convert the shape instead. You can easily convert a shape (or frame) to a new shape by selecting it, going to Object > Convert Shape, and choosing the shape you need. You can also do this in the Properties panel by clicking on the Convert Shape button (at the bottom of the panel) and choosing your new shape from the pop-up menu, or in the Pathfinder panel by simply selecting the shape you want from the Convert Shape section.
