Apply a Stroke?

image

You can apply strokes, also know as line settings, to any paths, shapes, frames, and text outlines. When one of these items is selected, the stroke properties will be available to you. As with a lot of these tips, the Properties panel is a good place to start. The first thing to do to is give the stroke a color—without a color, a stroke won’t be applied. Click on the little stroke icon (the square frame next to the word Stroke) in the Properties panel to open the color picker. Choose your color, and the stroke will be applied to your selected frame, object, or text. I chose red in the example above. Once you’ve selected a color, the default stroke thickness will be adjusted to 1pt, and this is your starting point.
