Save Colors to CC Libraries?

image

We have seen a couple of color panels now that give us the ability to add swatches to Libraries. You can access and use any items saved to CC Libraries in other documents and Adobe apps. CC Libraries are covered in chapter 10, but seeing as you are here, we’ll take a very brief look at how to save color swatches to a library. Open the CC Libraries panel (Window > CC Libraries) and select the library to which you want to add your swatches from the pop-up menu near the top of the panel (below the Search field). To create a dedicated swatch library, select + Create New Library at the bottom of that pop-up menu, give your library a name, and click Create. Now, using either the Swatches panel or the Color Theme Picker, just select the colors you want to add to your library, and then click on the little cloud icon with the arrow (if you hover over it, you should see “Add selected swatch to my current CC Library”). That’s it! The beauty of building a swatch library is that when you’re working remotely or in another Adobe app and you need to get ahold of some specific swatches, you can access them quickly and easily in the CC Libraries panel. Like I mentioned, you’ll find out more about how to use CC Libraries in chapter 10.
