Add Special Effects to Images?

You can use the Effects panel (Window > Effects) to apply a number of different special effects to your images, including things like Drop Shadows, Outer and Inner Glow, and Bevel and Emboss. Open the Effects panel menu, select Effects, and choose the effect you’d like to apply to your image. You’ll be presented with the Effects dialog, where you can adjust the effect to your liking. (You can also access the Effects dialog by double-clicking on Object in the Effects panel.) Notice that all of the available effects are listed on the left side of the dialog. You can stack multiple effects by putting a check mark next to each effect you’d like to apply. Click on the name of an effect to adjust its settings. Put a check mark next to Preview in the lower-left corner of the dialog to see the results of each effect as it is applied to your image. In the example above, I chose to apply the Outer Glow and Bevel and Emboss effects to the word DESIGN.
