Modify the Shape of a Frame or Object (Part 1)?

The first tool in your toolbox for quickly changing the shape of something manually is the Direct Selection Tool ([A]; solid arrowhead icon in the Toolbar). Simply choose it from the Toolbar and click on your frame. You can now click on any point on the frame and move it independently from the other points. When a point is selected, it will change from a small white point to a blue one. You can select more than one point at any time by pressing-and-holding the Shift key while you select your points. Use the arrow keys to move the points in small increments. You can also access other transform options from the Free Transform function in the Toolbar, including the following:

• Free Transform Tool (E)—Enables you to manually manipulate a shape
• Rotate Tool (R)—Enables you to rotate a shape from your chosen reference point
• Scale Tool (S)—Enables you to manually resize a shape from your chosen reference point
• Shear Tool (O)—Enables you to shear a shape from your chosen reference point
