When you’ve finished creating your new document and you need to share it with another designer, print company, or output service provider, it’s good practice to make the document as uncluttered as possible (lose what you don’t use!). This helps to prevent any confusion about what should be included in that document, particularly when it comes to color. Ideally, you’ll delete any unused color swatches from the Swatches panel so that the other party will know exactly which colors are used in the document. To clean up your Swatches panel, open the panel menu and choose Select All Unused. This highlights all of your unused swatches. Now just click on the trash can icon at the bottom of the Swatches panel to delete them all in one go.
