Place Multiple Images?

image

InDesign also allows you to place multiple images at once. Now, when I say this, what I mean is that InDesign allows you to load your cursor, or “place gun,” with multiple images, and then release them one-by-one. Think of it like drawing out multiple frames on a page, one after the other. Let’s place a series of six random images onto a page. Go to File > Place and select six images from the same folder, and then click Open. (It pays to create documents in an orderly fashion, so I recommend organizing all your assets for each document into prepared folders.) When you come back to the document, your place gun is loaded with the images you selected, in the order in which you selected them, but you don’t actually have to place them in that order. Press the left and right arrow keys to scroll through the selection of images. You will see a tiny thumbnail of each image as you scroll, so it’s easy to select the next image to place. Just click-and-drag in your document to place each image. You can release each one at whatever size you see fit. In the upper-left corner of the visible thumbnail, you’ll see the number of images that still need to be placed.
