Change to a Different Screen Mode?

image

Screen modes are really useful for seeing your print margins and jumping between layout mode and print mode. There are three ways to switch between screen modes. First, in the Application Bar (at the top of the window), click on the Screen Mode icon and you are presented with the following options: Normal, Preview (shown above, bottom left), Bleed, Slug, and Presentation (bottom right). The second way to select a new screen mode is to go to View > Screen Mode. Finally, you can press the W key on your keyboard to activate Presentation mode.

TIP: VIEW YOUR DOCUMENT FULL SCREEN

If you press Shift-W, Presentation mode takes you to full screen, hiding the InDesign frame and workspace. This is great for using InDesign as a presentation tool—just use the arrow keys to jump between pages or “slides.”
