Filter My Fonts?

image

Once you have your fonts in your system (let’s be honest, we all probably have about ninety percent more than we need, but you can never have too many fonts—said every designer ever), you’ll want to be able to quickly find and use the right font for the job. The font pop-up menu enables you to filter your list according to font classification or properties, fonts marked as favorites, recently added fonts, and activated fonts (these will only be Adobe Fonts). To filter your fonts by classification or properties, click on the little funnel icon next to Filters at the top of the font popup menu, and then search by classification—Serif, Sans Serif, Decorative, etc.—or by property, which includes weight, height, and width. To mark a font as a favorite, simply hover over the font in the pop-up menu, and then click on the little star icon that appears to the right of it. You can then filter the menu to include only your favorites by clicking on the star icon at the top of the fonts pop-up menu (again next to Filters). Click on the clock icon to view recently added fonts, or click on the cloud with the check mark to view all activated fonts.
